Soft boards have become relevant for some odd reason lately. I wonder what @surfcore2001 would have to say about this ? They're fun for summer beach days when the breeze is up and the closeouts are plentiful. But mostly the new soft rage is because of the finless surfing frontier made easy by these pieces of foam.  The 88 surfboard is a worthy addition to the quiver even when is costs you $400. 

This is the 7 foot tri-fin. They have a single fin or even finless (no fin boxes) model in the 7 foot and there are 8 foot and 10 foot board models.

Finless is super fun but when its steep and hollow you want a few little side bites. Follow the pics below . Its pretty easy to cut plastic.
