You may ask who is behind this surfED OUT craigslist OFFERING nothing for sale. We are surfers, just like you. A group with decades of collective surf life. Naturally we are after the best quality products FOR OUR MONEY AND TIME. Wetsuits that keep warmth and fins that transform your session. There's too much shit on the internet, so we decided to fill the gap. To give the people this Molotov cocktail of gear reviews. No fluff, just subjective realism.

We’re not telling you what to do, just how to do it better.

Fin Puller

Fin Puller

We love to see new types surf gear and the Fin Puller is just that. It’s a tool that will leverage your fin removal and insertion process, making it easy and less damaging to your fin box and surrounding glassed area.

FCS 2 fin boxes take 23 lbs. of torque to insert or remove a single fin. The Fin Puller is for those of you who aren’t callused-hand men and need a little extra leverage to prevent damage to your board. Founder Guri Milavski came up with his idea while watching a caddy struggle to replace Malia Manuel’s fins on a backup board during a World Tour event webcast. Groms, women, and computer jockey surfers all need a helping hand at some point in their surfing career with their removable fins. This is a great tool tool for everyday surfers who frequently switch their fins whether it be FCS2, Futures, or any removable fin system.

Why hasn’t FCS thought of creating a tool for this action ? We know many a surfer who’s trusty boards have tens of little finger pressure dings around their fin boxes from removing and inserting their fins. There is a competitor tool, Fins Out, but we believe it to be inferior. It’s constructed with harder plastics and requires the users hand to hold the board. You get leverage from the tool but you still have to put your hand on your board, which creates pressure dings. The cleaver head on the Fin Puller distributes leverage evenly on the fin box itself not causing pressure dings.

We applaud Guri Milavski of Fin Puller for designing and producing a solution. It is constructed with recycled plastic propylene and donates 1% of sales to an ocean conservatory charity. At $21.95 and free U.S. shipping we recommend adding this tool to your surf kit. Fin Puller site

The nuances of Guri. There’s a notch in the loop so the Fin Puller, and included leash tether, will always hang straight. Designers hate when shit is crooked.
